The first thing to ask yourself if you're looking to subscribe to an investment research firm or trade alert provider is: what is my process? Whether you know your process and are looking for tools to enhance your investment process and how you prefer to invest your money, or you don't, figure out answers to these questions to help you in your investment journey:
1) Do I want a firm that provides short, intermediate and/or long term research and investment ideas? How often do I want to adjust my portfolio?
2) Do I want actionable trades? If yes, do I want day trading ideas with a technical process that is focused on education and community learning with a live trading chatroom like Tenet Trade Group or Sniper Trades, an options only trade alert provider like StocksandRealEstate, a community focused day and swing trading provider like The Options Cartel?
3) Do I need Charting and Technical Analysis tools like StockCharts, Trade Ideas, or TradingView?
4) Do I need analytical research tools such as Koyfin, WallStreetZen, BarChart, ROIC, or FinBox?
5) Do I need options flow data tools Cheddar Flow, Market Chameleon, Unusual Whales or WhaleStream?
5) Do I want Robo Advisors/Automated Investing tools that do the work for me such as Wealthfront, Fidelity Go, SoFi Automated Investing, Charles Schwab Intelligent Investing or Ally Invest Managed Portfolios.
Some of the trading providers also have trading tools or use some of the data taken from tools such as Cheddar Flow, Market Chameleon and Unusual Whales as a part of their process.
Whether the group use Discord or a custom communication platform like Pro Trading Room, you have to ask yourself if you want a community-focused active trading group, or a provider that is heavily research focused with investment and trade alerts such as Hedgeye or Stock Rover.
